Just thinking about sorting out travel insurance for the forthcoming trip to the Alps, and spotted this small print on the quote for 'Sporting Activities'
Regardless of the duration of the individual activity, cover is calculated on a per day basis and thus
defined as a minimum of one day and no more than 20% of the total Trip daily duration for ALL combined activities.
Do I read that that I'm only covered if I partake in the sport for a maximum of 20% of the total trip length? So, for a week's MTBing the Alps, I wouldn't be covered?
If so, any recomendations for policies where I would be covered?
dogtag.co.uk
snowcard.co.uk
either will do fine
If you break yourself on day one - no problem.
If you break yourself on day seven - you were just trying it out for the day, ergo no problem.
(As for all that bike kit in your luggage, you'll need to come up with a good story...)
I used Endsleigh for insurance for the Transalp which covered "cycle racing" and was pretty cheap (£25-ish for two weeks). I'll admit that I didn't really scrutinise the small print, so cover might have been null and void if I lost it on day 2.
