I’ve just fit a set of non boost MTB wheels to my gravel bike. Wheels have a xd free hub so I’ve fitted a 11speed gpx cassette.

I now know that I really need a xdr free hub as my cassette is out of position (1.85 mm).

Can I just adjust the high/ low screws on the rear mech and move everything over?

Just thought I’d ask before messing up my indexing!!

As long as it doesn't foul anything I'd try it.

Chainlines have changed more than that since boost etc. I've seen plenty of bikes built with the wrong BB spacers so they are running at least 2.5mm out.

May impact on shifting and drivechain wear.

As long as the swing of the mech reaches, it'll be fine.

If it's getting to the very end of the swing capacity, the indexing might be *slightly* out. But i doubt 1.85mm will take it that far!

With 11 speed cassettes I thought you only needed XD freehub and XDR was only for 12 speed road stuff?
