apart from the obvious WC DH track!
I'm spending a few days in northern Croatia next week with bikes and while Trailforks shows plenty of trails on the mainland around Rijeka, there doesn't seem to be much on the islands of Cres or Losinj. I know there's the WC track and there seem to be hiking trails which I'm happy to explore but does anyone have any tips or pointers?
I went to the WC this year. Wasn't on my bike, but there were definitely a few paths heading off down the hill from the track at the top of the WC track, so probably worth an explore. Saw a lot of the WC guys on trail bikes for an evening spin on the practice days, so they must have found something. The terrain is absolutely brutal though, lots of very sharp rocks and the like.

Not going over into Istria? Loads on Trailforks around Rabac. The Bike centre there is super helpful.
I used to work as a guide further south on Korčula and am going on the assumption Losinj is similar (from what I saw of WC coverage). It's worth checking out the Tourist Info as there may be maps with marked hiking paths (certainly not OS standard, but enough to give you an idea). The rest I discovered by having a good wander; there was no shortage of interesting riding and crowded trails were definitely not an issue.
If memory serves there are marked trails on Brač now too, should you be heading that way.
We'll be just up the coast from Rabac in Medveja/Opatija beforehand where there are plenty of trails apparently but my girlfriend wants to explore some islands too.
