I usually wear Shimano SPD AM41's in a size 48 which I have to be honest are too small but I appreciate that Shimano shoes tend to be on the small side. I'm looking to move to flat pedals for my forthcoming trip to the Alps and was wondering what my fellow large feet riders recommend!

I wear five ten impacts in eu48 in dry conditions, & Salomon X-chase walking boots in winter/wet.
Wish someone made a winter boot for flat pedals in size 13.

I use 5-10 freerider elc. Big, pretty winterproof, work well.

I use Merrell Capra Goretex walking shoes as I need a 14 and they've done me a couple of winters/summer no problem.
Good solid soles and waterproof
my soles are starting to show signs of giving up now due to the pins on the flats but pretty good going for the £45 I paid for them I think.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't realise you can purchase 5-10's in my size as the CRC website does not list them, but I've seen the 5-10 website.

I'm stuck with a very old worn out pair of 510 low impacts as they redesigned them slightly at the end of 2015 back and they are now 5mm narrower and too small for my wide size 13 feet. I have tried everything else, shimano, specialized, addidas, some other one which escapes me right now. I don't know why companies refuse to sell proper large wide shoes. Will have to try some spd setups again when I can no longer take the pain of my worn out shoes.

just had the same problem and like you didn't realise Five Tens came in 13s but have just bought some Freerider Elements in 13 from Scotby Cycles. Only worn them a couple of times so far but size is good.
Not as sticky as I was expecting from the 'Five Tens are wonderful' lobby and quite cold but at least they fit.

Just a bit of info that may or may not help but 5.10 shoes with the original impact sole have a much bigger overlapping sole than say freeriders or impact vxi in the same size which may mean less area on the pedal platform and possible heel strikes on the chain/seatstays.
With bigger feet you might want to look at bigger pedals like vp harriers or deity T macs. I don't have big feet but have a Charlie Chaplin stance so have trouble with clipping seatstays and my feet hanging over the edge of the pedals but the vp harriers have helped this and I'm a lot more comfortable now.

Specialized go big, in their new "skate shoes" flat worth a look mate as they are wide.

I tried the 2FO in a 49 (Uk 13.5-14), too narrow although length was ok. Not sure I would have got on with them anyway as those and the Shimano etc are all a lot stiffer than the low impacts. Could get used to them perhaps

Just seen some Vaude Moab mid STX AM, they're a waterproof (allegedly) flat pedal shoe. They go up to Euro 48 too!!!
Sounds like the answer for us big foots, gonna save my Christmas money (or pinch the kids) & get some in the new year.

5:10's for me, using impacts for winter with sealskins. So far seems to be the answer for me and I usually get very cold feet.
