Right, spring is in the air and I want a shirt to go riding in. Instead of a jersey.

While your conventional lumberjack shirt get's sweaty and wet I am looking for a conventional-style but technical fabric shirt.

I have found these two:
- Jack Wolfskin Cascade
- Platzangst Mountain Ridge

Are there more with technical fabric? Any suggestions where to look?

Cheers!

Scott used to do some funky checked shirts made from proper tech fabrics. Can't remember what they were called though which doesn't really help!

Try www.pedaled.com/shop/

Bit costly though.

I have a short sleeve North Face shirt with a nice bold checked technical fabric. Only comment would be the fabric is a tight and fine weave, with a high UPF, which makes it fairly wind-proof as well. Probably good for a lot of climates but can be too little air flow through the material for summer.

swrve make quite a handsom one. There was a rapha / paul smith one in their sale, but thats probably sold out by now. The rapha one is excellent in functional terms but very far removed from a lumberjack shirt style wise.

I once rode 100 miles on a sportive with a guy on a niche italian road bike wearing trousers, cotton shirt and necktie! Apperently he'd had the trousers made for him by a tailor and they hand an extra pannel in the crotch (like a bib short). Must have been in his 70's. Can't help but think he had the right idea surrounded by thousands of middleweight IT mangers on carbon uberbling in matching replica race kit.

Rapha FTW.

I snip at 130 notes, as worn by fashionistas on here (I guess).

Loving the "I've just escaped from prison and found this bike + crap kit to put on in order to complete my getaway" look.
