Off to Corralejo in Fuertaventura next week for half term. Quick search seems to suggest there’s some biking to be had. Wondered if anyone has recommendations on hiring or guided trips?

There's a bike hire business in town, probably best place to start. When we were there a few years ago I went for a long run up to the top of the old volcano, there were loads of tracks and trails on the south side of the hill. Wished I'd had my bike!

Yep loads of trails, not sure how official they all are, we ended up in a workinng quarry! , took my bike out on a package holiday a few years back, mate hired a shonky bike, was good laugh, but is notoriously windy, scariest ridge traverse I've ever done !

Was in Corralejo last year with mates, we hired bikes from Easy Riders, 29er HTs. I believe they do guided rides as well, but we just downloaded gps tracks before we went.

Lots of gravel roads, didn't find much single track. Also there are some fun troughs of sands on some of the trails, can make for some rapid deceleration on a descent.

Bumping this as off next weekend and deciding about taking bikes/boards, staying el Cotillo in the N. So yeah - any mtb routes, okay hire places for road/mtb?

Drove past a place in Cotillo yesterday that was hiring bikes. At a glance they looked like passable hard tails (specialized maybe..). Take boards tho. Good surfing to be had.

We were there in November kayaking and hired bikes for a couple of days from Easy Riders. I think they were 29er Rockhoppers - OK but you notice the basic fork, We cycled the gravel road along the north coast to Cotillo and then back across the middle. On the second day we did the reverse but took the gravel road through the quarry and then past the volcanos, this one but anti-clockwise https://www.komoot.com/smarttour/65607

Cool - thanks!

(for what it's worth I'll be surfing for sure, but my boards all live on the coast and my very poor thinking ahead skills mean I'd add £25 of petrol ofr picking a couple up to the £60 to easyjet and general ball ache of transportation, so will hire over there I recon. Luckily my summer wetsuits never go to the northeast... So I'm tossing up whether to bother taking a xbike or roadbike, but cba and mtb availability means probably not. Should have started my own thread really: 'bike hire in dirty Fuerte to ask about roadbikes too...)
