Has anyone used the Lumen 800 as a road bike light. During winter, I would mainly use this in the early morning (6am) on quiet roads.

It'll be fine, just have it dipped down so it's not pointing right into drivers eyes.

I've been using their V2 XML light in very similar circumstances for the last two Winters.
As Gary_M says - keep it pointed down and the V2 XML works great.

Yes, for general riding and smashing, works well.
