I am going over this August, anyone been there and are there some good trails for an XC old boy ?
It is a stunningly beautiful area.
Went walking there a couple of years ago.
There did not seem to be many marked MTB trails, but many of the paths are suitable and nobody seems to mind MTBs on them. There are quite a few people on bikes as most of the Hotels rent them out to their guests.
I borrowed one and did a nice (non technical) trail from Cogne up the valley to Valnontay. Also the waterfalls as Lillaz are not to be mised.

There's a guide book, mountain biking in val d'aosta, published by versante sud which has a couple of routes round Cogne. I was given a copy, pm me if you want details.
