I bought some mountain biking shorts from Halfords for somewhere between £20 & £30 about 4 years ago.
They have since been damaged.
I went back to Halfords to try and replace them like for like but they don't do them any more, and all their options were all expensive AND didn't look fit for purpose.
Could anyone any recommend mountain bike shorts that I could buy online that are good value and no more than £30 and are fit for purpose
are you spending the same amount as last time?

Thanks I'll look at them
I might pay slightly more if they're going to be better than the original Halfords ones.
Recently brought a pair of alpinestars krypton shorts from CRC for £20 aswell as a pair of the drop shorts for £25.
Cannot comment on durability yet but the drop shorts feel very durable and come with nice liner shorts. Although they only had in enduro specific colours. The Krypton pair I'm really happy with..fits great and a nice light/fast drying material which also feels pretty durable but they only have cargo pockets which may/may not be a problem.
My alpinestars shorts were not very durable at all, of avoid
very impressed with my Madison ones
