You use the Fungle to make it into a loop via Aboyne and Tarfside.
If you're after a shorter day, then just go up and down whichever side you're on (e.g. if you're staying in Ballater or Aboyne, push up the north side and some back down the north too)

I’ve not done it, but vid below I think is final ascent via south side and then descending the north.
