only if you enjoy cleaning them to keep them shiny, otherwise best not go riding through fear of getting them dirty

No, well, yes, Ok maybe?

I buy upgrades as often as anyone else, but odly I always seem to get the singlespeed out the garrage despite being the same as it was when I bought it bar some maintenance.

Sometimes they can. I couldn't wait to get out on my bike when I bought some XT brakes a while ago, but sometimes I'm.not that fussed when I get new bits.

Best thing for me is nice weather or doing something different to what I normally ride.

If I don't have the motivation to ride my bikes, I rarely have the motivation to buy new bits.
I just tend to do other things until [if and when] I get my bike mojo back.

Bored of MTB? Pick up a cheap road bike on eBay (£150 jobbie).
