OK, I think I'm narrowed down to Racing Ralph 2.1's TL and Conti Race-King 2.2 RaceSport.
Any opinions? RaRa looks like it might deal with a wider range of conditions than the Race King, but the RK might roll quicker. Anyone with real world experience? RaRa is a good chunk lighter.
They will be run tubeless with some Stans fluid for the most part.
I have had good experience with Maxxis Aspen (tubeless) as a rear - fast and surprisigly grippy. Not good for rocky course though.
Maxxis ikon on the front and crossmark on the back. Swap out for beavers if it's muddy. What I use anyway, and tubeless just fine.
Racing Ralphs are a good choice. Personally I prefer the 2.25" and snakeskin version.
Depends where you live and ride weather you need snakeskin or not mind.
Use them year round and have no issues at all. Fast, light and grippy.
I like Aspens too... i don't like them in anyything but nice dry trails though.
Not sure how available they are in the UK, but look at GEAX tyres, the Saguaro, Gato, or the Aka.
I've had both Ralphs and the RaceKings on the back of mine. In my experience the RaceKing does roll quicker. The Ralph does seem to cope a little better with a wider range of conditions but I've never had a problem with the RaceKing. Overall I've preferred the RaceKing to the Ralph.
I currently have the RaceKing tubeless in its ProTection form (Black Chilli compound is the only way to go). It seems to have lasted longer than the Ralph did (although that wasn't a snakeskin, which would've probably lasted longer).

Must depend on type of mud! I find they work ok on rear (not front) in mud as they don't clog at all.
Raplhs in 2.25 flavour here as well...
2.25 ralph,Its fit and forget for racing on and light.
