Help required please chaps.

Mate lost retaining nut for the rear axle on her foxy carbon yesterday. It unscrewed somehow and dropped out while riding. What do we need to get to replace it. ITs a dt swiss axle but I think the retaining nut are bespoke to the frame manuafcturer

Is this all she needs?

Same axle on my Vantage.

The first link is the bolt that goes on the non drive side, that sits on its own, the second link is like a compression collar (its got a split on mine tho). That goes on the same side as the handle, and just sits in the hole on the frame.

Make sure its all clean and greased when you fit it, makes it much easier to tighten properly.

Thanks, thats explained it, I didn't realise the spacer went on the handle side. I think thats still there so I will just get the nut.

Cheers Chris

Sorry, One more question. Does the nut have tighten with an allen key, otherwise cant see how it doesn't just spin in the frame.

It does have an allen key hole in the end, but i never need to use it. As long as everything is greased up, it just seems to stay put.

It can sometimes spin a bit, but even just pushing on it with your finger is enough for it to all tighten up

It helps to use a 6mm Allen key to hold the but, otherwise it can spin.
