[Closed] Monday Night Pub Ride - CHRISTMAS SPECIAL

I'm looking to organise a ride on the Monday between Christmas and New Year - Monday 30th December. Since many of us will be off work anyway I was thinking of making use of the daylight for at least some of the ride and starting out at about 1pm.

Plans are pretty fluid at the moment so open to suggestions. My initial thought though is to get a good long ride in and have another go at the Four Towers ride. 37 miles and 4500+ feet of climbing it will certainly blow away a few cobwebs from the Christmas festivities!

So would anyone care to join me?

I was going to suggest something similar but er, different. It was along the lines of a (not necessarily) Monday afternoon pub ride. It would involve a not particularly big ride that finished up at the Strawbury Duck (pretty central for quite a few of the MNPR regulars) and have a few sherbets before riding home.
Possibly grab a bite to eat. What say?
This could run in addition to Wittonweavers ride ^^

I think Mr Sparkle's suggestion is a good one...

Meet up at The Strawbury Duck BL7 0LU at 2pm. A couple of hours riding round and about and then a dew drinks. For info, there is a train station next to the pub although the Bolton / Blackburn line doesn't have the most frequent train service!

So who's up for it?!

There's no way my shoulder is fixed enough to use in anger, off road. But I think I'm going to try and ease myself back in with a more leisurely jaunt on the road, to meet you for a couple of post-ride pints. Not been on the bike for a month, and it's now driving me mad!

Sorry for being cheeky, but I don't think I'd manage the full ride.

Sad no ride. I was questioning my sanity cleaning my bike in a howling gale. The bike is nice and clean now ๐Ÿ˜€
