There's limited parking at the pub, on the road opposite next to the curry house, and plenty round the back of the pub on the hill. If you're leaving your bike in plain sight on a bike rack bring a lock. If the scallies round here go to the effort of ramraiding STW Towers, they won't think twice about having a go at any bikes left lying around which are insecure.

Bring your climbing legs, it's a tad hilly round here.

Good I like hills.

Be very careful saying things like that. The first MNPR I led in Tod still holds the ascent record 😈

I'm hoping to make it along tonight. I don't have any climbing legs though, does someone have some I can borrow?

My new lights still haven't arrived so a couple of us are going out early doors instead. Have a good'un!

Despite Binners getting in already with his own bespoke excuse, it looks for once like the weather is not going to be one the rest of you can use. This is probably a first for one of my rides.

Who's in then?

The route is basically one big climb with a flat bit in the middle followed by one big descent, and includes a descent I've never taken anyone on before and only discovered myself at the weekend.

Don't worry Harry, it's not suicidal, although could be a bit of hooligan trail if you're that way inclined. I rode down it slowly with my forks locked and my seat up so can't be that bad.

Don't get too excited, it's quite short and sweet. It does however solve the perennial problem of finding a reason to slog up to the top of Flower Scar Hill.

Dazh I assume up the cobbles through the park woods or Doghouse lane 😳 Binners if you change your mind I have spare set of lights you can use let me know, then you can share the pain.

Nope, got a slightly different way up which is a tad easier. I fear if I took people up Doghouse lane I would get lynched.

Just out of work so no chance of me fighting through traffic to get there tonight. Have fun.

Excellent ride Daz, even if I did bisect the biggest and greenest (!) beast turd that I have ever seen.
