Modern equivalent of an Fsr120

For a bit of idle amusement on a deep snow day I was wondering what a modern equivalent of one of my old favourites was, the spesh Fsr120

I had one around 2007/9 I think and at the time it was a hoot, and pretty much perfect for the hike a bike rides I was doing, light and comfy all day, pretty neutral handing

I'm not really up to speed on modern bikes, so what would be a similar bike today?

The Epic Evo, or standard Stumpjumper.

I've got a 2009 Stumpjumper FSR and a 2023 Stumpjumper. I like it, but I kinda wish I'd gone with an Epic.

What is it about the modern bike that makes you wish you had an epic?

An occam is very similar as a good all-rounder but there are loads you could suggest

It really just feels like a winch and plummet bike, and it's a whole load heavier than its predecessor. I think I'd have been happier with something a bit more playful and faster uphill.
