Unfortunately the electrics on my bike died Tuesday (typically during a week off work) so I'm not gonna make this one.

I do fancy this but I'm working in town on Monday so heading back north to then head south again is a bit of a PITA.

If I don't ride I might do a splinter group ride up to Cragg. Fancy doing that the week after while its dry? I know that there's been a weekly itinerary over the last few weeks, but are we returning to weekly anarchy/location guessing yet?

Tore the sole off my disco slippers this morning. Will have to see if I can find my old and very horrible shoes.

I'm out. Shifted 1,000 bricks yesterday and have aggravated something in my elbow. Wasn't able to pick up the kettle this morning!

Hoping to make it, depending on what time I finish work. If I'm not there by 8.15, don't wait for me.

Elbow is much better this morning. If I can lift my bike above my head I'll be there.

Should be there for this one. Daft question, will I need my light(s)?

First MNPR for me for a long time, I have a blue Ragley Marley and a dodgy Irish accent.

I'm nursing bruised ribs and another knackered shoulder after a massive OTB on saturday, I'll do my best to be there but don't count on it 🙂

Right. Route plan roughly as follows

Cheeky Woods

Roman bridge

up Shielan (aka Strawberry)

Sandy Track

Horsey Girls Loop (optional)

Up the Golf course

Zig and Zag

Black Lane and The Banks

Down Shielan

Strines Station

Optional excursion up the left and down Fox Inn

up to the canal and back for a refreshing beverage

I still think you should do Linnets (scouts honour), its sooo dry atm.

I can do some of this, but I'll be a bit slow.

I'll wait for you on the ups if you wait for me on the downs 😀

If i'm late i'll just smash it down the canal and meet catch you up somewhere along there

My shoulder definitely isn't fully recovered from the lakes 100 and it's giving me jip* after a little ride yesterday - but it's so bloody nice out there that I'm sorely tempted to throw caution to the wind.

*I'd definitely fail the HtS' 'lift the bike over the head' test. Not sure whether to risk it.. I have physio tomorrow a.m....

I'm out. I can barely lift my arm above my head let alone a bike. See you next week. When are we doing the TdF roadie ride?

I've been reminded that there are resurfacing roadworks on the main road into Marple from Stockprt - traffic managment (i.e. temporary lights) in effect from 18.30. As I don't drive that way, I have no idea how it will affect traffic

I'm a touch early. Road works aren't too bad at all.

Oh sweet baby Jesus that was the wrong shorts/bike/weather/ride combination #patdry

Other than that, satisfactory bonkers ride 😂

Julian & Jane, thanks for taking us round last night.

You really should venture north of the border to the land of fire and pies... although the pies have been in short supply of late.

Glad you enjoyed it, cracking night out. MASSIVE props to Rik for riding all of Apple Trees (the techy descent after the canal - which is genuinely a bridleway on the definitive map, I have no idea how you;d ride a horse down that as I can't even ride a bike down it).
