Now bearing in mind since I switched to tubeless many moons ago mine usually just sits in the frame bracket as decoration, I'm thinking something by Topeak . I don't need a guage, the Blackburn Mammoth that I've just lost the threaded collar from 🙄 I've just pulled apart and it's still got the CO2 cannister with the Blackburn logo on 😁 told you I don't use it that often 😁
So with that in mind is it just as well to get a cheap BikeHut / Halfords one like my mate rather than spending over £30 for it to just sit there as decoration and gradually die ?

I'm hesitant to recommend a crank bros product, but i just bought one of their pumps on sale, and I am really impressed with it. Has a hose that clicks magnetically into place, but stows inside, a handle and fold out bit for using as a mini track pump, and generally seems to work really well. There's even a gauge, according to this link, although I haven't spotted it.

It looks like the gauge is on the hose, from those pictures.

I have a Topeak Race Rocket. Like you, I rarely encounter a situation where I need to use it these days. But the times I have used it, it's just worked, and as well as any other pump, despite being half the size. I bought it as a lightweight pump for the road bike but use it for everything now. The old Road Morph or Zefal frame pump haven't been out of the cupboard for years.

I have the Topeak Mountain TT Twin Turbo for mountain/gravel bike and the Roadie TT for…erm…the road bike. Both seem really effective.

As recommended by @poopscoop

I believe OP specified mini, not absolutely massive.

If you want something small for very occasional use then get a Lezyne Control Drive and a couple of CO2 cartridges. As with most Lezyne stuff it'll last forever. Or spend a fiver on one of these https://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-cnc-co2-inflator-thread-on-valve-head

Truflo Minitrack or, slightly smaller the non-telescoping Truflo Classic, are both just really good mini-foot-pumps, and cheap. Better than anything else I've used (the head can unscrew presta valves if they're loose, but it's not like the terrible lezyne ones)

They're not very mini. But if you're a backpack rider then it doesn't really matter, they're about twice the size of the smallest pumps and they're at least a million times better

Weigh nowt, tiny, under 3 quid and dont rattle about.

Fine for occasional use

As with most Lezyne stuff it’ll last forever.

This wasn't my experience. The Alu Lezyne Pump I had corroded badly until the hose could no longer be removed. It let me down a few times before going in the bin and I ended up using an Aldi pump instead which was more reliable. Worst pump I've owned.

I have the Crank Bros mini pump with the magnetic attachment.

Make sure it works with all the valve cores on your various wheels. Or swap them out for ones that work with the pump. I needed it on a ride and it wouldn’t attach due to the lack of thread on the valve core.

I now have the oneup pump on my bike. No problems so far with that one.

I would normally go to Lezyne but mine started unscrewing the tube value everytime I used it so I've go back to Topeak stuff (Roadie DAX for the road bike is nice)

Some bargain Fabric pumps on CRC at the mo, I got the biggest one and it's still just small enough to fit in my smallest fannypack. Seems very nice quality too.

Topeak Mtn Morph, been around forever for a good reason. Lot of different versions to choose from to, had mine a stupid amount of years, and it's the one everyone else asks to borrow.

I've just replaced a Lezyne Road Drive with a Topeak Race Rocket HP. The Lezyne routinely unscrewed valve cores and then finally unscrewed itself, separating into two parts and couldn't reattach.

I've got a lezyne that wont die, despite being strapped out in the elements.

I've been most impressed with a mates one up edc. lovely action and also pushes far more volume.

I guess, much like some track pumps, a high stroke volume means its probably not possible to get over 30/40 psi and therefore is MTB only?
