So planning a mini-overnighter - get dropped off Thursday evening while the family head north. Either a)get dropped at Bridge of Orchy and camp somewhere near Ba Cottage or b) get cropped at the Etive road and freewheel down to the sea and camp somewhere west side of Loch Etive. Friday - head to Ballachulish to meet family.
Both same distance - what do you reckon?
Kudos for braving the Scottish Winter in a tent. My heart is at the Etive, some very good times there. plenty of good camping spots by the river just before the Loch.

I'd normally say Etive every time, but Rannoch Moor is looking especially beautiful at the moment. That said, if it's a bit blowy I'd probably rather be in Glen Etive.
