I have a hare-brained idea of spending midsummer's night this year by bivvying on the top of Snowdon, perhaps also taking a bicycle-shaped-object up with me there as well... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Am I likely to die of hypothermia? ๐Ÿ˜›

More likely to be trampled to death by the first trainload of tourists in the morning...

You'll be fine. Sleeping bag, bivvy bag, fleece and hat, carton of wine, coffee maker ๐Ÿ™‚

Isn't there a summer time voluntary bike ban on snowdon?

Yep, it's a daytime restriction, 10.00am to 5.00pm, 1st May to 30th September.

my plan for my birthday celebration this year (early may) is to camp at the summit somewhere then ride back down at dawn... not sure whether we'll be bivvying or taking tents though. i'm expecting it to be a couple of degrees at best.
