Reba Race 2009 100mm with poplock 499 -> 269 quid, seems pretty good to me
its all oem stuff on merlin.a lot of it makes no difference but watch out on forks as these could be actually not that good a deal as you imagined.
knott4me, thats a bit of a sweeping statement, the XT cassette I recieved from merlin last week, in the shimano box looked to be full retail to me.
be careful! ordered a groupset through them, although promised me a 73mm bottom bracket sent a 68mm one, took over a week and two more phone calls to sort. Then...stupidly I had also ordered a brake set from them...it showed up with the shortest hose in the world on it, had to have come off another (very small) bike. Have decided that the groupset had too, none had packaging with it but I didnt mind at the time, I hate it when you get a big box from an internet shop for something small.
in conclusion, very annoying
I'm not in the market for forks, just thought it seemed a good deal. Just out of interest what would be the difference between these from merlin and the same forks from elsewhere?
You won't get a shock pump. That's about it.
Sometimes OE forks have steel steerers to save costs compared to aftermarket ones. Not always but it is something to check for.
I bought some OEM Schwalbe Racing Ralph's from Merlin - good price came without the box etc, not fitted them yet but they look ok, hope they're not different from the usual EVO ones!
My Merlin Revs didn't, neither did my mate's Melin Rebas
