Merino/Poly baselayer/jersey - Ground Effect?

A long, long time ago, I bought a Ground Effect Submerino jersey. It was a merino & polyester mix, long sleeved, short collar and a zip neck. Like this, but in orange...

Loved it, still use it. However, it's beginning to get a bit threadbare and I'd love a replacement. I've had a look at the Ground Effect website, but the new Submerino is a crew neck affair, so NOT the replacement I'm looking for. Therefore, I'm after suggestions. I'd prefer no pockets as I'd likely be wearing a layer over it. Not particularly "bike" fitted either.ย

Got a blue one which is great for running. I can recommend the Robin Hood, really comfy and the hood feels like a buff.ย
have a look on sports pursuit, they always have merino base layers eg isobaa ย  Some will have some poly.ย

I recently bought two of these (they also do them in red). Only used them for cycle commuting so far but intend wearing one on a 'proper' ride tomorrow.

I recently picked up another one of those submerino tops on eBay, in orange.ย  Worth keeping a look out on there.

I quite like the Rivelo stuff I've bought so far.

I have a couple of current range Ground Effect ones Colin, the Rock Lobster and the Berglar, both might fit the bill.ย  A caution on sizing, they do come up quite large, and whilst they are reasonable value to buy, they are expensive to return...
