Hi

Just bought a merino jersey from on one and it doesn't have any washing instructions. Anybody got tips on how to look after it, what temperature to wash it at, etc. Don't want it to shrink after the first wash.

Cheers.

Keith.

30 or 40 degrees, soap flakes rather than normal powder, no softener. Shouldn't need washed as often as a man-made fabric either.

Just bung it in with the rest of the washing

I normally wash all my stuff at 30 degrees anyway so that should be ok. Will use soap flakes to be on the safe side.

Simon, what kind of minker are you?

Cheers.

if its a good quality merino (you can tell this by how much it cost) it will wash on a 30 deg cycle with other like colours. put a pair of jeans in with it if it has bobbled and don't tumble dry and it should be fine.

I wash Merino cool, with the minimum of detergent and no softener. In fact, I wash all bike gear like that - I don't like having any residual detergent or softener in my cycle gear.
