After a bit of chatting to people and reading-up I've built this with the aid of the classifieds and it's my favourite ever bike, just got back from a "short" test run that I just had to extend by an hour or so;

[img] [/img]

rockshox rev's @120mm
alfine 8 rear
bb7 discs
hope xc front

Stops and goes like nothing else, gear change instant, pick-up instant and silent as the night.
Frame is superb - feels even more fun than the old 456. EBB system is simple, works and no creaks yet (only one ride old though)

Aside from valves/logos/chain tension etc what do you think?

Great wee bike , mine is in singlespeed form and absolutely love it , although I think an Alfine is on the cards , just too many technical climbs which I like to clean around me locally . I got mine from rufus on here but it had a 29" up front and just wasn't right , put it back to 26" and 100mm fork and all was well in the world again. Ideally I would like a very light weight 3 speed hub out back ( need to butcher an old Chopper I doubt ) Mine is 18" frame so I had to put an angled stem on it to fit me proper.
