anyone manage to get down any of the descents without slipping off? it was an ice rink everywhere!

I got the train to Walsden intending to ride home down the Pennine Bridleway. An hour of struggling to even push the bike along a trail without hitting the deck persuaded me to come home and and get on a road bike for the afternoon...

Was it you that I advised to just go for it yesterday? Sorry if it was. I've been out all day today not far from Hebbers and it was so different to yesterday. Glad I put the flats back on. I've never ridden so slowly, good for concentration, trying to pick a non-lethal line.
