They were pretty subtle about it though, you need eagle-eyed officials to spot it.
That’s bizarre. What were they thinking!? Looks like the race was over (rider coming down the hill). So were these riders struggling to make the cut off time? Either way, that’s very poor from every one involved.
Under UCI regulations, four team staff members were also disqualified with their cars taken off the race, while all riders involved will receive a 100CHF fine and a 25-UCI point penalty in addition to their disqualification.
