Hello,
Been a bit of debate on here lately about 9/10 speed compatibility but I don't think anyone's asked this yet.
Will the 3 speed front shifter from the (9 speed) XTR-M970 groupset work the triple front mech from the new (10 speed) XTR-M980 groupset?

Hello again,
Suplementry question, anyone know if an XTR-M970 triple front shifter will work a SRAM XX front mech? I know it's a no-no for the rears.

One more bump.
Tried asking in the LBS but they didn't know (quite roadie-orientated, not entirely sure they know what XTR and XX are...)
