What is the max cassette size that an Apex1 rear derailleur can work with?
I currently have 11-42 but I think it should work with other SRAM 11sp MTB cassettes.

My understanding is 42 is the max. I stand to be corrected tho.
Mine only lasted 12 months before failing so you’ll probably have to replace it soon anyway!

I run a 11-42 and the range suits me. I've heard of people using 11-46, you'll just need to alter the vertical alignment of the derailleur.

They're not cheap, but I got 6000km out of my first cassette.

I think 42 is the max according to SRAM website but I've read that a hangar extender will let you use a SRAM 11-46 cassette but can't find more info on how to do it 🤦‍♂️

From a quick search by adjusting the b-screw you should get enough clearance. have a look at this thread on Riding Gravel

I'm running sunrace 11-46 with Apex, 38T upfront. All good
