Hi just stripped a crossride rear axle to adjust bearings and after assembly I have no axle protruding beyond the locknut on the non-freehub side. When the wheel is inserted into the frame my concern is that the frame will sit on the quick release axle.
I am sure this axle was put back together properly - started from the freehub side I inserted axle until it bottomed out on the hub, then added freehub body etc.
On the non drive side I added the bearing cover, spacer and locking nut etc
Is this normal?
Freehub side has a protrusion as part of the locking nut
Any ideas appreciated?
(purchased second hand)
