I've narrowed down my replacement to the above frames (rest of the build kit will be basically identical). The Bokeh is going to cost me 500 quid more for the build (ultegra di2 hydro) but the weights will be effectively the same.
Is the Bokeh worth 500 quid more than the Tripster or, as I suspect, is it a pretty similar sort of bike?
The problem for me is that one is attractive and the other is really really ugly. Otherwise the Tripster would have been perfect for me really.
that's easy, when do you want it?
Tripster's are probably in stock, so you should be able to get one in the next week.
Bokeh. you are looking at a loooooooong wait, many months. Order now you might not be riding it this summer.
which is a crying shame.
I've got a Sync which is beautify made if that helps, I'd buy a Tripster based on the build of the Sync.
they're both similar sorts of bike, and not detracting from the Kinesis at all but you can see where the extra money goes on the Bokeh, it just seems a lot more refined, from tubing choice, to details, to finish. whether that's worth £500 is up to you
i've not been on a Tripster but i've had a play on a Bokeh and it's a lot of fun, you won't be disappointed, and it comes in orange
(looking on the Mason site, pre-orders are for bikes due March to May, depending on size)
Well I need to decide if I want to be a tart or not, that's true. It's replacing a stolen CAAD10 black inc so in part it'd be a shame to get something less well finished. Insurance MAY decide which bike tho
Insurance came... So basically, it's 400 quid of my own money to get the Bokeh over the Tripster. I'm stumped.
Only £400? Bokeh if it was my money. Much more refined frame and better warranty (5 as opposed to 3 years).
It's worth £400 just for that orange!
