Been looking for a cheapish 29er HT and although the HA is slightly traditional it seems to tick all of the trail bike boxes.

Anyone have any experience of the bike, in particular looking at rear clearance and sizing.

I'm a nats nacker under 5'10 and struggling with M or L, think the ST will be just too big on the L.

Cheers

I live near Rutland cycles but they only seem to have them at the warehouse not the shop.

Reviews do all seem to really rate the bike.

There was a thread n here abut some shocking warranty service from Marin, and an odd hub spacing standard(?).

Sounds ominous but I think that was the Marin Pine Mountain (hub spacing)

I'll do some digging on warranty

Rear clearance is biggest concern

Not exactly the same as certain things have changed with the spec, but I have the 2015/16 (Nail Trail 9.6) Nail Trail with 100mm forks, great bike that also got rave reviews, I'm 5ft 8 and a fag paper and have the Medium.

Thanks

Geo looks slightly different but could you fit decent rubber in the back?

Sorry bud, sun got to me also. I've got 2.3" XR3s on the back and there's plenty of clearance.

The 7 looks even better IMHO, and warranty concerns aside, I am tempted..C2W in August, if they are still at this price...

For anyone interested in this bike (currently a very good bargain)

It looks a lot better in the flesh than on the website.

Bugger - I've missed it in 29" flavour, so looks like 27.5" for me... 🙁

Obviously I can't say how the 27.5 rides but if it's anything like this then I would recommend.

It's lightening quick and an absolute hoot to ride.
