So over Christmas I managed to snap my Pike 426s (crashed on a jump). My bike was insured through my parents home contents insurance with CIS, and this included coverage for accidental damage.
The Pike is no longer made, so got the good guys at One Planet (Llandegla) to get me an invoice for the closest replacement product (one of the Sektors). Sent it off to CIS, they rang 'Degla to check it was legit, and a couple weeks later I had a cheque for a new fork ๐
Nowt major I know, just nice to have a positive story with insurance companys for once (I know when I asked about it before contacted CIS people doubted I'd have any luck) ๐

Great eh? I had similar with Axa - bike nicked, a picture emailed, a phone call from a (knowledgeable) chap about the exact spec of bike. Result = phone call and letter within 10 days of theft to offer money (more than expected) and to head to thier suppliers website (Wheelies) to choose the new bike. 4 days later, new bike. 8)
