My old pace RC40 was getting tired so i thought i would buy a super reliable magura.......Well about 6hrs ago i was cleaning my steed and noticed the ****ing brake mount has failed (lower IS mount split from fork leg) BAD TIMES!!! Only been on the bike about 7 weeks

The company that make magura lowers has too many failures IMO

Send em back, I've found Maguras customer service to be top notch. No dicking around, they just fix the problem.

01530 414142 (importers number, I think they're moving premises so give them a ring).

Heard now of casting failures on Durin, Thor and Wotan. IIRC the Durin Failure is a recall currently running. Magura forks may have a reputation for being robust, but the 3rd party company that makes the lowers has a QA issue IMO.

Dunno, maybe I pay too much attention to it, as I have Magura forks that have failed...

Got Wotan forks with a 203 rotor on a 2 year old bike no issues. Had some odurs for a year again no problems.magura uks service is outstanding. The ashby de la zouch boy's are fantastic.

My Thors broke across the top of the dropout - said it was my fault - was it hell!

That's odd, it was my fault as well, when mine broke in exactly the same place. Aren't we the ham fisted ones...
