looking to get some new marta sl brakes but wiggle show options for different rotor sizes and for a front 180mm brake you can have either a 6" post mount caliper or a 7" one - what is the difference please?
will need to run them with an IS adaptor on some old rev's first until new PM forks can be afforded ๐
so which PM option do i need?
Wiggle have got that all confused Paul. The caliper is the same regardless of rotor size. PM7 is Magura's name for forks (like their Thor) which have directly mounting post mount calipers for 7"/180mm front rotors. The 'standard' post mount (what Magura call PM6 as on the Durin) is for 6"/160mm rotors with the caliper directly bolted to the fork.
OK, that's all background! For your IS Rev's, in Magura speak you need either Adapter 11 for a 160mm front rotor or Adapter 12 for a 180mm front rotor.
cheers fella!
