Thanks all.

I'm not sure how they stay in business. I've only had to buy 2 sets of lights from them in 20 years. They're indestructible.

Current XPG is I think 8 years old, used at least twice a week all year round, battery life still great, bright enough to ride with much newer lights (although I do use it on medium now more than low).

It even had half the cooling fins scraped off in a tarmac slide, with no ill effect. Which was more than could be said for me.

Still have my lumicycle halogens that I converted to LED, and a smudge battery too.

Absolutely bombproof, but a couple of exposure lights mean I'll never use them....

I've still got a HID in the cupboard, but like Nobeer a couple of exposure lights mean I'll never use it. Shame really, still works fine and has good power and spread for road use. I just can't be bothered with separate battery packs these days.

Still use my v1 3LED most days in winter. On second set of battery cells and had to replace the BMS as well.

Much prefer the remote battery, and they are so well made

hm, Lumicycle long term user here too - halogens for old school riding, couple of the XRS? LED ones as well - would never get rid but helmet Exposure light has negated much of their use.

I've run lumicycles for decades, matter of fact I'm about to order a new battery for the upcoming night riding 'season'.

Its the spares and upgrade ability that gets the sale for me.

They were cutting edge back in the Halogen days, but once LEDs took over they seemed to stay stuck in the 90s and were left standing by just about every other light manufacturer.

I think the company was bought over a decade ago. The originators seeing the writing on the wall.
