He was always the least obnoxious of the top gear trio. In fact I quite like some of the engineering progs he's done and he gets kudos for being a motorcyclist, but I didn't know he was also a cyclist.

His "bike hacks" probably wont tell you much you don't already know, but credit to him for being a pedalist. Especially as it probably winds that 🛎🔚 Clarkson up mahoosively 😊

I imagine him as a fellow slowoldman - though he's not as old as me.

Having drank in my old local pub with all 3 a while back I knew that May and Hammond are both keen cyclists. May for commuting round London, Hammond was then a MTBer and roadie as part of his crash rehabilitation. For once Clarkson was left out of the conversation between me, my two mates and another random in the pub for a bit! That was until Clarkson joined in with a picture of his bike (some sort of Specialized hybrid) that he was trying out and the other two then spent a good 10 minutes properly ripping him apart. The next series of Top Gear had a section where May and Clarkson went round London by bike then made those pro-cycling ads.

All 3 of them were very drunk and great company, just like their TV personalities but turned down a fair bit. Apart from May, he was his normal self once a pint had been sunk.

He's my fave of the trio, his Reassembler series is fantastic slow TV. Just built up a custom made Orbea he was talking about it in a recent Drivetribe podcast.

His new house has defined cycle parking. Taking a bit longer to finish than expected though.

Yo Mods.

Thank you for removing my completely unecessary comment.

I was absolutely plastered when I wrote it. No idea why I came out with it, I actually like the bloke. In vino veritas my arse.

Once again, thanks.
