After [i]many years[/i] of cantilever braking, I am about to join the modern world. I am, however, quite keen on keeping my old transmission set-up - especially the old school Deore XT thumbies. Can they be happily matched with shimano disc brake levers? Or are there clearance problems - I seem to recall this being a problem with Hope levers?
I know SJS thumbies are an alternative - but after the best part of twenty years, any other shifter set-up feels... strange!
