Yep totally wasted, sofa and newspaper all day.
It would appear that guzzling damson vodka into the wee small hours is not compatible with getting up early to go out on a bike.

Yep late to sleep as working, up early and more work so cleaned the car for a few hours, planning to stroll up Snowdon on foot tomorrow to make up for it, and probably rebuild one of the bikes ready for next week. Nice pic rocketdog here's one of my days work 🙂

Went and did a few road laps round The Great Orme (where the WRC was on thurs) as the sun went down, was a bit sullied by a boy racer maniac coming up the wrong way (tis one way) as I was descending at 30mph, if there was no wind I'd be at 40mph and certain road paste. Scared the crap outta me, who says road riding is boring.

"here's one of my days work"
I think you cleaned the number plate too well

Kind of wasted it really. Though got an hour locally on a SS made up of parts too worn out for other bikes. I think I got the gear wrong as there was a lot of spinning out and saddle bouncing, but no grinding away out the saddle

Not wasted but certainly not out mountain biking having fun. A pleasant family day followed by looking at my shot linkage/pivot bearings and sobbing gently.

Solo jaunt on the cx bike. Offroad sections were muddy as hell and I had an over the bars dismount on a rocky descent. Lovely 😀

In many ways yes, I did waste it..

popped into the LBS this morning for a whinge about SLX M665 chainring compatibility issues and to give the owner a chance to shame me over the years of baked on crud and cheap grease encasing my front mech..

then an afternoon and evening of generic 'family stuff' including the supermarket, in-laws and a few hours of wooden trainset bizzle...

Yes. Knackered achilles so didn't go orienteering this morning as planned. Didn't even get out on my uni today (I reckon practising on that's made the achilles worse). First low wind day for a while and I didn't even manage to get out to fly any of my RC planes. Total waste of a day.

Lovely day slithering about at innerleithen. Small amount of bus assistance. Noticable amount of leaving the head unit for my good light in the car. Large amount of whimpering on the last descent.

Incidentally, the course for next week's enduro race is completely mint, you will not regret it if you live. Which you may not.

Got up early to do shepherding then off-road to work... could not resist the tops and shaved 5 mins off my CX best for the London Road bit of the Mary Townley loop. That's 5 mins more to rub mud off face before opening shop to the discerning ladies of Hebden Bridge 😀

A quick trip to town on the road bike for a new Ethernet hub, and back. Then a couple of fun hours messing about on very slippery local woodland trails on the HT. A longer ride tomorrow at AC and 50A, with Martin.

Nah, thought I'd get a few chores done today and then ride tomorrow morning. Guess what. Everyone elses arrangements have changed so the *best* I can hope for is a quick road blast on the ss.

Pissed off? You don't know the half of it!

A slow start for me, about to leave to collect the bike then ride, but was asked to install a hack to make a DVD player region free. A 3 mile walk along the river and then canal side finally gathering my bike.
9 mile road ride, 6 of that up hill 😕 then cruised across the ridge looking at the fabulous colours and clear sky. Minced about up there for about 15 miles, before the final 1.5 mile single track descent in gloopy fun mud. Arrived int pub after 34 miles caked in mud. A lovely pint of the dark stuff, then 3 mile canal side ride back here. Bike cleaned and ready for a days guiding the Frome posse tomorrow(hence the easy ride today) Not a bad day at all.

Not biking, but not wasted - spent the day in the wild mountains around the head of the Lledr Valley in Snowdonia. Beautiful day, sunshine, stunning views, and absolutely deserted ... Snowdonia - busy? Not if you know where the quiet corners are 🙂

Another gorgeous day today, but unfortunately got to get on a train to Cardiff in a bit 🙁

Yesterday: 30ish miler from England to Scotland and back at Kielder including some of the bloody bush singletrack (and stupidly slippy northshore) and some red at Newcastle on my own yesterday. Saw 3 other people all day. Did it in a reasonable time for me (4.5 hours), including messing about filming for Britain in a day (probably could have saved a good half hour). Followed by Strictly (well I am a girl) and couple of glasses of red.

Mates waited for me to drag myself out of bed this morning and did a 10 mile very wet, foggy and muddy moorland blast this morning with one of the mates dog. Now F1, soup and vension stew making (and sadly some work!)!

Did housework-related tasks yesterday in the hope that I'd be granted an early release for good behaviour today. Even put the mud tyres on in gleeful anticipation.

Then last night the wife said, "My stomach feels sore, I think I'm going to be si... BLLAAAARRRRGH!" So between her getting up in the night to spew, and our eight month old daughter repeatedly waking up crying due to emerging fangs, it was never going to be a good start to the day.

I think this is the sixth weekend in a row where one of the three of us has been ill enough to mean I don't get to cycle, and it's DOING MY TITS IN!

Er... that was yesterday Elaine Anne and it was all fab and lovely - got up early to get London Road in before work.

I guess we're in the same place as I got up early again today thinking it was all going to be the same then realised you couldn't see Stoodley Pike for vertical drizzle so I commuted on the valley road into a blinding headwind. Ugh, it does throw it at us.

Got about 2.5 miles out and crashed on a gnarly canal towpath when my chain snapped due to the massive power in my singlespeeder legs.

Ripped my arm to shreds and either badly bruised or broke at least one rib.

Awesome!

Just got back from a great road ride:

Radcliffe, Bury, Edenfield,up to 'Owd Betts, down Ashy Valley to Heywood, back via Pilsworth.

Sunny, fast & fun.

Forgot how much I enjoy road riding, first spin out on the road iron for a couple of months. 🙂

Plotted a random 141km circular route around Hyderabad, India, loaded up the Garmin, and headed off in the 36 degree mid-day heat! Temperature dropped considerably as darkness fell though, was a good wee spin, although the body seems to ache all over now 😕

The novelty of 50 guys crowding around watching gormlessly while fixing a puncture has thoroughly worn off though 👿

Cheers, Rich

Was having a magnificent thrash round my local trail centre being chased down by some random guys.
In the heat of the battle for ultimate male trail supremacy I changed quickly and probably under some load only to completely **** my rear cassette.

20 miles through the swamp more commonly known as Epping Forest this morning. Great single track xc but ground was like porridge in places. Met a team of Husky sledge racers exercising thier dogs, they suggested some sites that sell attachments for dogs to bikes, now that might save the legs a bit !!

I was going to have a Snowdon day but couldn't motivate myself for the climb. Ended up doing both loops of Penmachno. This was a very good idea. I forget how ace loop 2 is - particularly the climb back up after the descent. North Wales is also looking especially multi-hued and spectacular at the moment. A top day 😀
