We lent our roof mounted bike carrier to someone who appears to have lost the keys for it and it's currently locked closed. (Another political story entirely. Families, who'd have 'em?)
We have tried ringing round various places, including where we bought them from, but really struggling to find a replacement.
Has anyone ever sourced a replacement key - they're the black plastic ones with the round end (with the pattern number stamped in the end), rather than a standard key-loooking one.
If so, could you point me in the right direction.
Have tried google/ebay and various Mont Blanc supplier websites also, but I cannot find anything about this type of key.
Alternatively, if anyone has a number 47 key lying around that they don't need (this type of lock was also used on the mont blanc aero roof bars - unfortunately/typically our roof bars are a different key number to the bike carrier)
You would be repaid with beer tokens and good karma.

I have 2 barracuda bike racks and have recently changed my roof bars and have been looking for some spare parts (bolts with square ends), and found a mont blanc site that may have the right key for you.
