Hey,

just wondering what's on the market in that price range for a trail ride camera? Would like something that can fit to the frame so you can see the forks etc...

I'm really a newbie in this so all thoughts welcome 🙂

Can I get something waterproof in this price range or am I going to end up with a piece of junk?

As long as the fps are pretty good and it lasts the length of some trail riding in Wales then I'll be happy.

Cheers 🙂

Rob

You want to pay for it with bricks?

The basic go pro hero is less than £100.

The latest Go Pro Hero is £100 or just less, I've got one and the footage is pretty good, there's an example at the link below and more on the rest of the blog:

I've had a couple of issues however. Had to send one back because after a few recordings it wouldn't stop recording until the battery ran out, and about to return another because it shows the fully charged icon then runs out of battery after 20 secs. I may have been unlucky. Amazon have been good at replacing them though.

Bricks means pounds... not exactly a huge leap guys 😉 Northern thing 😉

Can I attach the Go Pro to the frame so I can ride and see the forks working? Like that kind of footage 🙂

Cheers

Don't think it comes with many attachments but you can buy extra. I think people attach them to their seatpost facing forward.

@peabrain Made my evening....! Attention to detail is faultless!

Would pay many bricks for THIS!

But would bricks pay many THIS in return... I think not!

Again... thanks guys... Go Pro sounds like the way forward... how do you get the fork shots though?

To get your forks in the shot you'll need to buy a mount separately. You can get one for the handlebars, or a chest harness. Either should give you the view you're looking for.
