As above really. Does anyone know of a bike shop with the tooling to swap RaceFace Signature XS ISIS bottom bracket bearings?

Ta muchly.

PS, please don't offer opinions on ISIS bottom brackets. I know they're not popular, I'm just looking for the tooling.

There is no special tooling, I use a hammer and a vice to do mine.

How do you get the grooved collars off the axle then? Any advice would be much appreciated.

the collars get pushed off by the bearing as you remove it from the axle

The centre sleeve seems really reluctant to push aside so I can get a drift behind the bearing. Is there any sort of lip or shoulder in there?

Hold top bearing in vice - stick a old bolt into axel . Chap on bolt

This should move axel along bearing and out of the sleeve

Cheers. I cans ee the logic of how it should all happen. Done enough bearing swaps in the past. THis one just doesn't seem to want to play. Was wondering if there was something different with this one. Seems it's actually just a case of whack it harder!

clamp the middle sleeve in the vice and **** the the end of the axle.

Top tip: pop the axle in the freezer overnight to aid putting it all back together.

Where are you getting your bearings from? they seem in short supply at the moment?

Bearing supply is the next problem. Keep 'em peeled. You might see a thread on that soon.

Big wollop isn't working. It's just mashing up the centre sleeve. Can't find a shop with the tools. XT is looking very tempting right now.

I know it should be a simple, axle, sleeve, bearings affair but this just doesnt want to play. Anyone want to make me an offer on some turbine cranks?
