[#2911932]

I've got an old monocoque frame (late '90s) in raw aluminium with a crack at one of the pivots and a cosmetic dent.. Well, I hope it's cosmetic.

And it could do with a new disc tab as a previous user cut off the old Pro-Stop mount. ๐Ÿ™

Are there recommendations for a welder or frame builder in the Manchester/Liverpool area?

Can't fault this guy:

Based near Sheffield. He welded up the crack on my Commencal and did a superb job - very tidy and the joint is, doubtless, far stronger than it was before. Very good value for money too - and he'll repaint your frame if you want that also.

Been looking for a whole new/old frame for a while...
Could do with a swingarm with disc tabs and a small seat subframe.

Bu,t they're like rocking-horse droppings and I'm skint! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Can't believe people would actually take a hacksaw to a frame. JUST LEAVE IT!
(I did file a slot in a solid cable stop once on a GT )
