About 2.5 hours. Rarely do longer than an hour though.

4 hours three or four times - when the weather was particularly bad and I needed to get some time in. Watched a couple of films each time.

Last time I used a turbo trainer I ended up knackering my tendons at my elbows, seems I kind of just "locked" my arms and sat there bored out of my brain while pedalling away. What I may have gained in my legs I lost for several months being off the bike wearing stupid velcro support things on my arms. Never again.

A normal exercise bike? The saddles on them are torture after 45 minutes

And I question how much benefit you actually get for 'real world' cycling!

3 hours, in a desperate and failed attempt to retain the stonking fitness I had gained after living in Spain for 6 months, to then have surgeons hammer nails in my hand after smashing it to pieces in a fall.

The drugs made it bearable... I think I fell asleep at least once tho.

Turbos only good for high end all IMHO of course.

Why are exercise bike seats like those on vintage tractors? I've been hitting the gym since new year and I've managed to get up to about 50 minutes on the bike. Not because of fitness but because by that point my legs feel like they're going to seperate from my arse. We've even been under the thing to see if we could quickly remove the bench they've got on it an slip a proper seat on for the duration of our stay.
