๐Ÿ™‚

In Applecross and had a freehub break today. Planning to do the Torridon lollipop on Monday. Can anyone help/got any other ideas?

Other potential plan is drive to Inverness and hire a bike.

Help!

Thanks.

Can't help with the wheel but these guys do bike hire. Call tomorrow and I'm sure one of them ๐Ÿ˜‰ would be able to tell you what sizes are available (the Rat Race Coast to Coast is on this weekend so most are booked out).

Alternatively, I'm in Aviemore and I could meet you at the hire shop in Inverness with one of my own bikes (I'm 5'7" so you'd need to check sizing).

I've got rear wheels but only normal old skool QR ones.
I'm just south of Inverness, you can borrow my '08 Stumpjumper if it fits, and leave your bike as a deposit.

Wow - amazingly generous response so far, thanks you two.

scotroutes - what you got? ๐Ÿ™‚

My mate is currently considering trying to hire a basic hardtail from Torridon activity centre and stick his Lyrics on it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Why not just do it on that? Will make for a good story and give him an instant excuse.

Is this like Top Trumps Scotroutes? I've got a '96 Cinder cone with Fox RL80's and I've got a Trek Y bike too! ๐Ÿ˜›

Managed to borrow a Giant hardtail off a guy we met in the pub in Applecross! Stuck the Lyrics on it and it worked a treat - annoyingly I wasn't that much faster downhill on my Pitch. ๐Ÿ™‚

Amazing ride - loved it. Will post a new thread with some pics when we get home.

Thanks again for all the offers of help.

Sorry for not responding earlier by the way - didn't have any internets once we left the pub!
