Afternoon, does any know of a roof carrier that can carry a long bike?
Ive just bought a S6 stumpy Evo with a 1319mm wheelbase 😂 and obviously it doesn't fit, I rather not go fork mount so was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

My Geometron G1 29 is 5mm longer and I've had it on a Thule 591 lots of times without issue

A Thule 598 should go long enough, you just need to adjust the arm into the correct position to make full use of the length for each wheel strap.

It’s def a case of trying it on the rack to see.

My XL Nukeproof Mega 29er fits better on the rack than a Large Ragley Bluepig 275.

You’d think the XL 29er would be the one that would be the problem.

You can move the arm on Thule racks (as dc1988 says) so, unless you're overhanging front and back (and that must be a huge bike!) - you just need to adjust the arm position so that it fits.

On a 598, take off the arm (2 grey cams on the bottom that you turn 90 deg with a large screwdriver) then it's a couple of 10mm - or 12mm - nuts. Loosen those and slide the plastic mount bit to the best position.

My bike has a 121cm wheelbase and there’s total 6cm of spare track visible on my Thule 598 = 127cm. I think you could let the wheel trays overhang a bit safely enough.

Might have a bit of a problem with where the arm lands vs. where the SWAT hole cover and bottle cage are though.

My full sus 29er in XL is 1255cm long and manages to just fit on the Thule 598 fine. I've done a few long journeys with no issues at all.
