Needing some new bar tape and i've usually just gone with cinelli or similar for under a tenner..is the lizard skin stuff at £25 worth the extra?
Havent seen it on sale in a bike shop so havent been able to touch it, so was wondering if it feels much different compared to normal tape (in pictures online it looks sort of plasticky)
It feels very "sticky" - hard to explain really. The advantage of this is that you can ride with a very light touch, not having to grip on tightly.
It isn't particularly well padded though. I put bar gel under it on my touring bike.
Best stuff I've ever used... As Colin says it's not the thickest.. I've got some Fizik gel strips under it on the CX..

Spot on IMHO..
Coupled with Carbon Bars, it's spot on on it's own on the road.

Yeah, but a little bit of Muc off, and warm water works well..
