[Closed] Lining up chainrings on XT cranks - how?

Am replacing the middle ring on my XT Hollowtech 2 cranks with a steel deore one: unfortunately I failed to note how the middle and inner rings line up with the outer one before I removed them. While there is a pin on the outer ring to show you how to line it up with the cranks, there doesn't seem to be a mark on the middle ring (either the old one or the new one) or the inner ring to show how they should line up with the outer, despite the teeth and shifting ramps being different at different points round the ring. Anyone know how I should sort out how to line them up?
