Want to get the lights on order but don't know what set up is best?
Lots of XC riding and 24 hour events.
Will the Hope LED 2 with a LED 1 be sufficient for clear trail vision or should I opt for the LED 4 with Led 1 on the helmet.
Or should I do something else?
how about just the 4 on the helmet? I think the 1 is more of a road light. Not sure it has enough throw for off road.

Is that all you use? Is it comfortable (light and not bulky)?
Does anyone know where I can get a beam picture from to see how much light it gives out?
Had a Hope Vision 2 & now use a Hope Vision 4 on the helmet, weight difference is minimal, light is most you'll ever need. I'm well chuffed with mine & know a few who agree. Can't recommend it enough. Its a great helmet light.
A mate bought a Hope Vision 1 & was very disappoint, no better than a 10 quid torch.
save a little bit of money? - Hope 4 on the bars and a Fenix L2D (or Deal Extreme torch if you want really cheap) on the lid
I've just started night riding with a Vision 2 on the bars and the light is good enough to go anywhere and the battery seems to last for ages.
Lightwise if you want to carry lots of speed and your mates all have more powerfull lights then go for the 4.
We bought on a group buy from gravity_sports at a great price.
I've ordered the DX torch for my head to complement it but may use that on the bars and the Hope on my head.
