I am in the process of building a helmet light using 3 cree XPG led's and now need to source power connectors and a waterproof switch. Does anyone have any recomendations where to purchase these from?

Buy a cheap extension cable. Cut it in half and wire the ends to battery and light.

For switches I've used a Toggle Switch with a Waterproof Toggle Switch Cover. These are similar to what Lumicycle use.

Thanks for the advice, i will take a look at covered toggle switches. I really want to find a connector with a little more snap together retention than a stereo jack extension lead.

The std DC dual concentric types can have good retention force. See these on Hopes.Try CPC: http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/home/homepage.jsp

As for DIY, I mod the Dealextreme LED torches;C2 etc.
Good Luck!
