I started with 100mm Reba which was horrible!
The BB was too low - lots of pedal strikes & mashed big ring.
Got 150mm Revelations and it is a dream now.
120mm will probably work ok, but around 140mm is the optimum.

here is mine, it has toras, they were set to 80mm when i got them, tbh, it felt fine like that, however i now have them set to 130mm and it has made the bike come alive, much better to ride.
Nickel plated steel like simondbarnes above but with Pace Rc35. Loved that bike one of the worst days of my life when it got nicked, didn't replace it or ride for ages....
Got a proper bike yesterday so good timing on this thread, reminds me how much fun I had on my P7 and hopefully how much I'll have on my new Whyte.
120mm will work, but 140mm worked best for me. I ran 100-120-140 Fox Talas forks on my P7, and ended up leaving them set at 140mm in the end, just dropping them for long steep climbs.
